Shoulder Pain Treatment

The shoulder is a highly mobile joint. That being the case, the shoulder is highly susceptible to injury. Shoulder injuries can significantly impact your daily life. Virtually all arm movements and even sleep can be impaired by shoulder dysfunction.

What Causes Shoulder Pain?

The shoulder biomechanics are very complex and can be disrupted by improper muscle activation sequencing, ligament tears, and/or misalignment of several joints, including the glenohumeral, sternoclavicular, acromioclavicular, and chondrocostal joints. Additionally, malposition or dysfunction of the lower neck can negatively affect shoulder movement and cause radiating pain into the shoulder.

How Do We Evaluate Shoulder Pain?

The way we achieve success with a variety of shoulder issues is that we don’t just treat the site of pain; we assess each of the muscles and joints mentioned above to determine the true underlying cause of the pain.

What Do We Do To Treat Shoulder Pain?

Based on our findings of what we determine to be the major cause of your shoulder pain, we may recommend correcting the issues by prescribing corrective rehab exercises, stretches, and/or performing specific adjustments to the misaligned and malfunctioning joints.

How Long Does the Complimentary Consultation Take?

Each consultation lasts 10-15 minutes. If after the consult we feel we can help, a physical exam (and x-rays, if necessary) will be performed to diagnose the cause of the problem. From there, we will provide you with a solution and how to enjoy long-term relief.

What Services Do You Provide?

Based on our findings regarding your specific needs, our services include comprehensive neurological and structural exams, digital x-ray assessments, chiropractic adjustments for the spine and extremities, corrective and rehab exercises, custom molded foot orthotics and lifts, as well as nutritional and ergonomic recommendations.

What Shoulder Conditions Do You Treat?

Proper spinal alignment and posture are critical for shoulder function. The shoulder joint is held together by numerous muscles, ligaments, and tendons. As such, there are many potential conditions that arise within the shoulder.

Common shoulder conditions we see include:

  • Bursitis
  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
  • Rotator cuff tears and strains
  • Tendonitis
  • A/C joint sprains

What Other Conditions Do You Treat?

We see patients of all ages, with a large variety of problems, but some of our most common are scoliosis, neck pain, migraines, pregnancy discomfort, autistic spectrum disorders, hip pain, knee pain, foot or ankle pain, sports injuries, postural problems, sciatica, facet syndrome, muscle strains, ligament sprains, bulging or herniated discs, sacroiliac joint pain, and spinal arthritis.

What Areas Do You Service?

Our clinic is conveniently located on Bird Rd., just off the 826, so we enjoy caring for patients from Coral Gables to Kendall, to Hialeah, and all over Miami-Dade County.

When Can I Schedule an Appointment?

Because we know schedules and traffic can be hectic, appointments are available 5 days per week; as early as 10am up until 6pm.

Is There a Catch to the Complimentary Consultation?

There is no catch to this offer. One of our core values is that we don’t push. A consultation is just a conversation; not a commitment. We recognize that choosing a new doctor can be nerve-racking and we want to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible prior to engaging in any assessments or treatments. The complimentary consultation allows you the opportunity to talk with one of the doctors to find out exactly if we can help; if so, how, and if not, we’ll recommend you to the best provider in the community who we think can.
